Smashed Broccoli With Parmesan

In less than 30 minutes, broccoli can be transformed from boring to wonderful with oven roasting and mashed garlic. With just five ingredients, this side dish is gorgeous yet simple.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 lbs broccoli florets, cut long with part of stem
  • 6 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • kosher salt and fresh pepper
  • fresh shaved Parmesan, optional for topping

Instructions:

Step No.01

Set a baking sheet covered with parchment paper and preheat the oven to 425°F.

Step No.02

Toss the broccoli florets with the garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper on the baking sheet that has been prepared.

Step No.03

Arrange the broccoli in a single layer and bake it in the center of the oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the broccoli is crisp-tender and golden brown.

Step No.04

If preferred, sprinkle Parmesan cheese over top.
