Garlic Sweet Potato Mash Slow Cooker

This Thanksgiving, let your slow cooker assist you in the kitchen with these delicious slow cooker garlic sweet potatoes! They’re the ideal complement to your turkey dinner!

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs 4 medium sweet potatoes, peeled & cubed into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1/2 cup 1% milk
  • 2 tbsp light sour cream
  • salt and fresh cracked ground pepper, to taste

Instructions:

Step No.01

Just enough water to cover the sweet potatoes should be added when placing them in the slow cooker.

Step No.02

Put the water in the slow cooker, cover it, and turn it down to LOW for four hours.

Step No.03

Melt the butter in a small sauté pan and lightly sauté the garlic till brown just before the potatoes are done.

Step No.04

After draining them in a colander, put the potatoes back in the slow cooker.

Step No.05

Drizzle the garlic butter over them, then blend in the sour cream and milk until it becomes creamy and smooth.

Step No.06

Once you’re ready to eat, or for up to two hours, put the slow cooker on warm and adjust the salt and pepper to taste.
