Best String Beans with Garlic and Oil

Before I discovered the appropriate way to prepare them, I had never been a fan of string beans. I adore them now. It’s important to avoid overcooking them. For those of you garlic fans out there, here’s a simple and nutritious side dish.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb fresh string beans, washed, ends trimmed
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, sliced thin
  • salt and fresh pepper

Instructions:

Step No.01

One inch of water should be added to a big saucepan and brought to a boil.

Step No.02

Place a steamer basket of green beans inside the pan, cover it tightly, and steam the beans for 4–5 minutes, or until they are crisp and tender. Empty.

Step No.03

Warm up some olive oil in a skillet. Sauté the garlic until it turns golden.

Step No.04

Toss thoroughly with the string beans, salt, and freshly ground pepper to taste.
