One of the greatest things you can create with your pressure cooker is an instant pot chicken breast that is juicy and delicious. It’s very simple and quick! To make it, you’ll need just a few basic ingredients and less than half an hour. Ideally suited for a hectic worknight with limited free time.
Ingredients:
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 chicken breasts boneless and skinless
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup chicken broth
Instructions:
Step No.01
Combine the smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl with the Italian seasoning. Toss to blend well.
Step No.02
Coat each chicken breast completely with the spice mixture.
Step No.03
Add olive oil and switch the instant pot to the sauté setting. Add the chicken breasts and fry them for two minutes, or until golden brown on both sides, after the pot is heated. Put aside. You can skip this step if your chicken is frozen.
Step No.04
After that, put the trivet inside the Instant Pot and add the chicken broth. On top of the trivet, place the chicken.
Step No.05
Shut off the Instant Pot’s cover. Verify that the steam valve is in the sealed position before locking it.
Step No.06
For five minutes on high pressure (ten minutes if using frozen chicken breasts), select manual (older models) or pressure cook (newer models). After the pot reaches pressure, which should take ten to fifteen minutes, the timer will begin to count down.
Step No.07
Allow the Instant Pot to release normally for ten minutes after the five minutes have elapsed. After that, quickly release the steam by turning the valve to venting. Once the steam has dissipated, uncover the instant pot.
Step No.08
Open the lid and transfer the chicken to a cutting board. Let it rest for 5 minutes and then slice before serving.
